Origin: It’s not known but its native area extends from Myanmar, Indo-China and India.
Uses: Culms are used for building purposes. furniture, farm elements, baskets and other woven wares & handicrafts. Young shoots are edible.
Propagation: By Seed or Culm & Rhizome cuttings.
Rhizome Type: Clump-forming or Sympodial
Culms: Can reach a height of 30m and 15-20cm in diameter.
